You should be happy with it, ask cincyrob I think he has one....for $20 though you can't hardly go wrong.
Well I'm pretty sure the 22X Optiarc AD-7220A is a Lite-on. The 20X series were NEC based. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118029 It also appears that Pioneer will be the next victim of the $20 Lite-ons as it is rumored that they too are quitting production of their own burners.
Yep it's a lite-on and poor rob seems to have killed his ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/540688/4532152
Hmmm... I don't know.... late-night posting is to blame! At any rate, LG non-retail OEM burners found in desktops are pretty awful too. I've never understood why that is. The retail ones always seem to read and burn great.
Second my vote for LG burners doing a great job on reading/ripping and burning. I just wish that they would do the quality scans like the Lite-Ons.
It's easy to hate the LG/Hitachi's found in various DELL rigs, they ain't quite right and LG disavows their very existence if you need support.
