Can I copy my WindowsXP Pro to another computer?

    Windows will let you install xp pro to another computer upto three times IF its for your use only. heard it on G4 a few months ago. Try it
    and down load the updates. If it updates its ok.

    install xp pro onto your harddrive then clone it onto another harddrive and wow you have a fully activated copy :)
    my backup is almost 3 gigs
    have to put all the kids games on afterwards
    i think one copy per family is enough :)

    They will work if you are installing the hard drive on the computer that you cloned it from.

    In order for it to work efficiently on another computer, the other computer has to be the same setup as the computer it was cloned from.

    If Windows XP or XP Pro detects any hardware differences between the two PC's such as the original and the PC accepting a cloned copy, poof goes the activation!

    ahhh forgot that we all have almost identical computers :)
    so you might have to activate it but thats ok bill gates people let you have several activations just tell em you blew to old computer
