Have just dragged video TS Folder from DVD on to my hard drive can i crack the CSS encryption from there? Have been making backups of dvd's for long time with no probs but didn't have access to dvd decrypter at the time so i just copied files direct to my external hd... Any suggestions, software advice would be great...
I'm running pc with windows XP and a Mac G4 with OS 9.2 + OS X

Easiest thing to do would be use AnyDVD and Shrink. Just choose open files in Shrink :) I dont believe DDC will allow you to rip files from other than a ROM drive.

You can use Decrypter if you use ISO files and set up an emulator drive. Nero and other suites have the software and Daemon is a good freeware emulator. The movies ripped in file mode won't work this way.

The AnyDVD as mentioned is the best. DVD43 is a similar freeware program but not as good. http://www.dvd43.com_ (no spaces, copy and paste)
