yea man, pretty low ps probably have to change that too.i was just reading posts say you need at least 400 watt power supply get 500 watt to be safe.thats why i hate upgradeing always cost more money...lol
im not sure 100 usa dollars about.450 watt would work .i bought this one for 40 dollars usa look for a sale.400 watts is good, 450 watts fine,500 watts probably wont ever have a problem.look for an energy saving one i forget i think its called pfc[energy saving]something like that.good luck man, hated to be the one to give you bad news
Don't buy a cheapy power supply! You could end up frying your MOBO & CPU. Buy a decent make. It will be worth it in the long run....
check out this website are the brands here good? http://www.vtechindustries.com.au/p...es&PHPSESSID=5c7d3f4a282558f690c9d42bc9989bc6
You should be able to get a pretty good PSU for around $150 aus ,found this http://www.techbuy.com.au/products/...C45012UEU/ModStream_450W_ATX_Power_Supply.asp , it's a very good PSU which will also stand up to other upgrades that you make in the future
hiper r 480 watts is pretty kool:heres a thermaltake 59 usa dollars: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817153005
@ eLiTe23q , from the link you gave the FSP psu's are very good, they are silent, stable and very efficient
well i checked the shops and they told me they do not make 9800 anymore or something so i am going to buy a radeon 9600xt or pro? with one would be efficeint for css could somebody find the fps for the graphics cards
look online and buy i wont buy a card any lower if you want to play new games.check this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...&manufactory=1126&bop=and&srchInDesc=9800 pro
i do not like to buy items online.. i would buy straight from a shop thats why im asking for fps in css and stuff
that other video card is a waste of money.id go with nvida instead the cards are better i think anyway.if you have the money 6800 series is a good one also i hear the x800 by ati aint bad either.
Just to complicate things with the whole power supply issue, having a great big number isn't everything. A lot of it depends upon what sort of current it can deliver on the various voltage lines. P=IV (Power = Current x Voltage). I run a Radeon 9800XT Pro and Athlon64 3200+ in a Shuttle XPC box for example. It only has a 230W power supply in it, and I haven't had a worry in the world in the last 18 months or so of having it. I'm not saying go out an buy a cheap power supply by any means. What I am saying is that you need to be aware of how much current is delivered upon each line: this is broken down on a sticker on your power supply. A cheap power supply will deliver a massive amount of current on the 12V line, giving it a huge power rating, but the real important one is the 5V line. Should be able to google some good info on the topic if you're interested.
yea it will run but you will get better proformance with the right power supply.your video card isnt working at full proformance becuse that card needs at least 300 watts to run efficiant plus you need to supply power to the rest of your components which is about 100 watts more.there is no way that shuttle is running right ,but thats your preference.what may happen,it might take 2 years but youll ruin that whole system cause its not powered right.there are specs to follow for a reason, maybe im stupid but maybe i like to follow directions so i dont have a pile of scrap in my room[lol]if i were you id listen to the people that tested and produced this video card but thats just me ,i guess, rather then take a stupid chance that it might be fine and dandy
Ok so you not willing to pay $150 for a good quality psu, so go buy a cheap no name psu sit back & relax and wait for it to take out your harddrive , memory and a few other things when it goes bang..... Seriously if you want a pc thats stable when you upgrade components then the first thing you should do is buy a quality PSU, whats the point in building or upgrading you pc if your PSU isn't up to scratch , it'll just lead to system crashes or worse ......sometimes you get lucky like OzMick and sometimes you don't like sammorris ...you have access to the internet so do some research on PSU's and the role they play in the pc p.s whats wrong with buying on line ?
