Hi I have bought DVDOneX specially because it had the great feature to compress any dvd to fit on DVD-R first and if not to let the user decide of an output size.
But this does not work ! My movie "The Life of David Gale" cannot be compress at less than 4.56Gb. And this does not fit on a DVD-R ! I don' t want to split the movie in two because of a 100mb over !!!
what is the solution, how can i compress it ? the original VIDEO_TS folder is 5.6Gb.

Finally can someone tell me why I can not put 4.5Gb of data on a 4.7dvd-r, don' t understand that !
    thanks

Numerous programs will out there will help you.

One of the best is DVDShrink v3.0 beta 5. It will allow you to compress a DVD-9 DVD down to a DVD-5 DVD-/+R without loss of quality. For best quality in DVDShrink, use "Deep Analysis"

If that doesn't work, try CloneDVD.

    Oh yea, DVDShrink is FREE

Blank media is only 4.37Gb and not 4.7 (it's to do with bits & bytes)

[As stated above , run files through DVD2One again & all should be well]

I am using DVD2oneX and what I do to get the files down to the right size is to reset the output size to 4465mb. Hope this helps out.
