don't count on it especially when 2oldGeek is on the job.
Gee, more flowers..... I'm overwhelmed!
After 50 years working with computers, I totally disagree with this... A "plow and pave" strategy is the very last option on the table.. Anyone who has training in the Advanced Programs for cleaning a computer has no trouble removing Trojans, Rootkits or any other malware.. The only problem I have is that most infected victims that ask for help seem to not be able to follow my instructions and branch off on their own and totally screw everything up so that a reinstall is the only thing left..
The best thing that can be done to avoid needing help with malware or computer problems is a good backup strategy using an image backup on a drive that has the letter removed so the malware can't see it....
i'll be sending you dead flowers out of my mother's garden as they'll die with you because you'll never water them.
At my age, flowers is not the only thing around my house that's dead.. just ask my wife
On top of that, I paved my yard and painted it green........
saves you from having to cut the grass, just sweep the yard & you are done.
No watering, no weeds, no sweeping.. a blower takes it to the neighbors.
kinda figured you are full of hot air.
That's nice! Not what my wife says I'm full of............
full of what?hey erik, ive got more music and movies than i can listen to.im just on here trying to help.no need for rewards, but thank you anyways.you also might find my musical taste pretty eclectic to say the least.LOL
The English word eclectic first appeared in the seventeenth century to describe philosophers who did not belong to a particular school of thought.
Today, if your poor, it’s called idiosyncrasies, if your rich it’s eccentricities…. be cool..
yeah,my generation called it cool.lol.my musical tastes run from js bach,a little beethovan, motzart, verdi, tchaicovsky,to bluegrass, old country, blues, acid rock (pink floyd) to classic rock and a lot of modern rock.ive missed a few but oh well.on the subject of blues,if your into it go to youtube and listen to a guy called seasick steve.well worth the listen.
I'm a big Tiny Tim fan myself.... just love to tip-toe through the tulips......
forgot that one.used to watch him on the ed sullivan show.odd thing, when he sang in his real voice he was freakin awsome.
Talk about awesome, did you ever hear, "hey searg.. Gomer Pile" Jim Nabors sing in his real voice??
yep.i think he musta been classically trained.
You guys are great. AlDan I wish I could give your just reward.
Let me know if you think of anything from my list.
- My apologies for being away a while. (job and family and this cpu frigging-up).
As for the "this file does not have a program associated with it...." problem I was having-
I found the answer after reading 20 net pages.
(start-default programs/set program access.../(select) 'custom'/(select)firefox/(select)windows mail/OK).
I still have trouble with pop-ups and adware that I never had - I am thinking a new pop-up blocker or 3.
Thanks again ya'll. This site has always been #1 on my list, especially after other sites and forums are filled
with the types that are aching to sound like tech-genius #1 but can not hook-up an old Coleco-vision.
Aldan give me an e-mail if you think of anything on my list (sounds like you have great taste in music).
I am sure I will have more questions for ya'll.
Giant thanks again - ya'll keep things moving - consider the fantastic ripple-effect you make.
no sweat man.i live for this sh@t.
Router malware may redirect a few URLs such as Flash updates to pages that looks identical but is a malware server. If you update Flash from that url you will get a 'back door' installed on your computer. After that, the computer isn't really yours any more.
