Cannot access d:/....incorrect function??? Toshiba...matshita dvd RAM

    Ok...earlier i burnt a disc...and it was fine.

    For some reason....now....whever there is a disc inserted, i click open or explore, to enter in the disc, and it says "d:/ is not accessible, incorrect function".

    Well...the first thing id like to say is "@'#]@#!!!!"

    Any idea why this is happening?

    Its a DVD-RW drive, can u tell me how to fix it?

    Go into hardware manager, uninstall the IDE controllers and reboot. See if that helps.

    Then get back to me.

    It says "warning, this will remove them form your system, do you want to proceed"

    If i remove them from my system....will they reappear when i reboot?

    Yes, windows will find and reinstall them when you reboot.
