man i think i'm doing everything right but the cd will not boot up. when i look at the cd in windows explorer i don't se any files or folder listed but when i read the cd in nero it says i've used 109 megs but the xbox says the cd is unrecognized. what did i do wrong?
I figured it out by mistake. I read a read website that said that the program xiso.exe sometimes creates bad iso's and i downloaded another program called isomaker and i was able to make a good iso for slayers and before you know it everything is working just fine. I was able to get my xbox working. Thanks to matty8887, and scottas. We'll yall take care.
I do have one question. I just received the xchip. I had the chameleon. I haven't had a chance to install it in my friends xbox yet. Will the slayer auto installer flash the chip for me or do i need to go look for the software to program the x chip? What is the usb connector for that goes to the xchip? What all can I do with the usb port on the xchip? Thanks,
The usb lead is to connect the xbit to a pc so you can flash it much more easily. If you download a bios on your pc just connect the xbit to your pc and flash it with that bios. Slayers wont let you flash it without it being flashed first because that would be unsighned code and if that run, then backups would.
Will the slayer install everything i need for my friends xchip? do i need additional software for the xchip besides slayers atuo installer?
oops sorry about the duplicate message. I didin't see that there was a 2nd page for my thread. I will look for the xchip bios today when i get home from work.
You need: xbit.exe which is the flashing program, The usb lead that came with the xbit, a hacked bios such as one of the xecuter bios's, Slayers auto installer for alternative dash. This is all you will need to flash the xbit bios.
