    When trying to burn a DVD-R, I alway receive an error message, and nothing happens at all! :(

    The sequence is as follows:

    * Interface Error: -50
    The connection is not stable.
    * The drive reported an error:
    Sense Key = ILLEGAL REQUEST
    Sense Code = 0x30, 0x05
    CANNOT WRITE MEDIUM - INCOMPATIBLE
    FORMAT
    * Couldn't setup the track for writing.

    My configuration consists of:
    * Apple Powerbook G4 / Cube G4
    * MacOS X 10.2.6
    * Freecom FX-50 DVD-/+R/RW, CD-R/RW
    * Emtec DVD-R 4,7 GB single sided
    * Roxio Toast Titanium 5.2.1

    Any ideas?

    Are you trying to burn a -R disc in a +R writer or vice versa?

    The Freecom FX-50 DVD-/+R/RW, CD-R/RW is a drive capable of burning DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, CD-R, and CD-RW medias.
