Can't Burn After Rip

Just insatalled a brand new DVD-R because I thought the old one was bad.I am using DVD Decrypter ver 3.5.4.0 I can rip any movie to HD put it thru Shrink re-author it I mean the works. When it is encoding Shrink tells me that it is not encrypted. Shrink finishes then Decrypter loads to burn the movie, but I get an I/O ERROR every time. This last time I got a Power Calibration Failure, can anyone tell me what the problem maybe. I am using media that I have been using before. The same thing happens with ImgBurn
