Can't burn .img files with Nero, DVD decrypter and Alcohol 120%

I'm using Nero 6.6.1.4 and I can burn everything else like data and music but it says that the .img file is an incompatible format. I could burn with using these apps before I had a virus and had my system re-installed. My burner is only 2 months old. Do the rest of these application have a problem burning because Nero doesn't burn? DVD Decrypter starts to burn then stops at less then 1 percent then eventually fails and gives me an error. Same this with Alcohol 120%. Can any body help?

a .img file is normaly associated with a .ccd or a .mds file that is normaly the one that you would burn

 

IS the .IMG of a DVD by any chance? DVDDecrypter should handle the .IMG just fine. Nero,Alcohol 120% dont know what to do with .IMG so thats why they bring up errors when you try toopen/burn an IMG with em.

as for why the burns keep failing with DVDDecrpyer, could be your media/disc type. Try another media type (brand)
