Thanks teflonmyk. Much as I suspected. Is the movie any good? No need to mess with it now, if not. I got busy around the place and didn't make it in to town today, so didn't pick up Menace.

Teflonmyk,Its good to know someone had no problems with Menace To Society.I tryed both Shrink and Clone Dvd2 with Any-dvd and it would not work.I have not tryed DVD43 and Recode2 this is the only movie that still gives me trouble along with a lot of other people dont know what the problem is.I did backup the comple disc last year ripped and burned using DVD Decrypter.

    Thanks..........

That far back, DVD Decrypter was probably up to date to handle the decryption. That was before they got heavily into the new encryptiosn as well. That's why I couldn't see AnyDVD having a problem with it. I wish I could get my hands on one of those problem discs. Teflonmyk proved it's not a universal problem.

What does the read scan look like for the disk. You can scan it with the free DVDInfoPro or with Nero's CD DVD Speed test utility.

That's pretty good for an old Blockbuster DVD.

I have noticed a higher number of "bad pressings" with the original release some of the older movies that I have backed up. Of course, DVD ripping was nonexistent then. Older movies that have been re-released/remastered don't have these issues as much, though. I attribute it to the maturation of the whole DVD process...

EDIT: For example: My original Friday, Forrest Gump, and Player's Club gave me fits. Since I owned them, I just rented copies and ripped from them...
