can't get rid of this "E"

    no matter what i try with this iphone i can't get my wifi on and i can't get rid of this E icon at the top. i don't have edge! any suggestions?????

    Restore and rejailbreak. That's what I would do.

    Use the bossprefs.. it wont get rid of the E but neither will it try to connect to the edge service.. its in installer under utilities..
