A couple of days ago my copy of office 2007 started screwing up. I would open word and try to type but it says down at the bottom "this modification is not allowed because the selection is locked" so I decided I would try to uninstall it but it wont let me, it says "setup cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted or not available. run setup again from original source" I tried to run setup with no change. If anyone knows how I can remove this, or fix it I would appreciate it. Also I tried to use an uninstaller I downloaded from download.com but it didn't work either.

Try to get the CD and do a repair install or uninstall from the CD.

Why not just delete the Office 2007 folder in Program Files. And Reinstall an older version of Office.
