    Hello there:

    WHY THIS MAIL?

    Problem Definition
We need to track various TV channels for advertisements simultaneously on an ongoing basis.

What do I have in mind!!
A system that would split the cable signal from a single input and record all (at least 20 different channels) simultaneoulsy at reduced resolution on a hard disk.

The system would require to do recording in cycles of 5-10 minutes to save on harddisk space (as is done in the cockpit balackboxes) but make sure that all the advertisement breaks are recorded with parts of
of the program before and after the ad break.

    Can anyone provide a solution.

Waiting for a quick response. You can call me on +91 9426016437

I think you need a TV tuner card for every channel you need to record at the same time. Possibly you may need to setup different hdd for a cluster of tuners as well since you would have serious writing issues. You may think about setting up a PC box with 2 or 3 tuners to one hdd, and make 5 or 6 of those boxes for your 20 channels.

    Good luck though
