Is there a video card that will let you record through component? Even the new Radeon XT AIW card records through S-Video which is terrible. ?
I have 2 tuner cards, both use component connections. I don't even have the S video connected and in the case of the TV computer, the tuner (coax) input isn't used either, just component (A/V 3-wire). ATI 7000 and the ATI 9000 cards. The software with the 9000 is a little better, but picture quality wise, both cards look the same. BTW, the 9000 software runs perfectly with the 7000 as well.
