Ok so I have a Dell Desktop.
The Cd and drive wont read any cd's or dvd's.
It turns on and the light flashes but it wont come out in My Computer.

Any ideas to what might be the problem?
    thanks

I doubt a cd drive is going to read a dvd.. *giggles*

why it doesn't read cd's?? .. anybodys guess.. could be anything from drm rootkit action (like securom type nonsense) to malware to generic M$ stupidity to a duff ide cable, ide controller, or failed drive.
