CD-RW has split!

    Help, I installed a CD-RW to keep my CD-ROM happy under W2k.
    Made sure the IDE cable is the same in this wedding.
    It even showed up in My Computer.
    But the next day when my baby woke up, it was not to be, CD-RW was nowhere to be found. Yes, it opens and closes when button is depressed, but can’t use Nero or Clone cause it does not show up on My Computer.
    Device Manager say’s primary IDE channel is working properly and repeats the same with secondary IDE channel.

    check the cables in the back of th edrive
