my cd's are very clean, and they are skipping. I think my 5 cd changer's cd lens reader thing might be dirty, anyway i can buff it without opening it up?
get a CD laser cleaner. it is basically a CD with little brushes on the underside which clean the dust and smoke off the laser lens as it reads through the CD. they are only about $10 and work pretty well.
I've never had a problem with it. The brushes are very soft...they won't scratch the laser or anything like that.
