Can a CD Writer write a dvd disc? i mean if you popped a blank dvd disc and hit write would it not write?
How many times is that question gonna get asked...? Wish I'd got a £1 for every time ; ) When you've heard about backing up DVD's using just a CD-RW (yes you heard me right..a CD-RW) DVDDude32 , it meant ripping the DVD and then putting that VCD/SVCD onto disc using your CD-RW [BUT THE DISC USED WOULD BE A CD-R not DVD-R] !!!
On some DVD players, but my guess is on yours it wont. Apex make a DVD player that plays DivX, but you would know if yours did as it would be a main selling point of it.

May I take this opportunity to retract my last question as it was intended as a sarcastic attempt at humour directed at the DVDDude32's expense when it actually ended up sounding like a genuine question. Anyway thanks for answering my question Oriphus, I should have used a more exagerated over-the-top example like 'If I put a DVD movie in my Discman would that work?'
