Hi, I hope someone can help last night i closed my comp normally with no probs and when i turned it on today it started opening and closing and the busy light was on when i started to get into windows so i restarted and it did the same thing so went into bios and left it for 10 minutes and it was ok so removed the drive and did a virus scan which was ok went into device manager and removed it also changed cable and restarted and it did the same thing went back to dev man and no conflicts so swapped with dvd, same thing. anyone have any ideas or should I buy a dvdrw and bin the cdrw.
Yeah its an artec wrr 4048 I think you're right I've just checked on www.ebuyer.com and theres a Pioneer 8x DVD DUAL R/RW IDE Burner for £57.95 inc vat and delivery which i think i'll get. I've never checked prices online before how long has it been this cheap?
I'm across the pond and thus not so familiar with prices there .... but yes, the new 8X burners have been cheaper than expected
