ch***** codes what does it mean??

    KEY 00 = 4B 7C D5 86 E7 01 CC 96

    KEY 01 = 8E 8E 46 FD 36 28 A3 F0


    Where do you inpt these codes. I have starview2. am in malahide.

    Not actually my box. i'm trying to help a guy out over the phone(torture). i'm with ntl and have no problem. what values should he enter at user insallation menu?

    If you have the latest firmware installed the codes will automatic do itself

    Press Menu > System Information and tell me what the API is

    CHORUS
    Press menu ,Installation, User installation,Enter pin0000, Press yellow button(power scan) Mode normal
    Start 270Mhz
    Stop 450Mhz
    Symbol Rate 6.875 Mbaud
    Symbol rate 0.000
    Symbol rate 0.000
    Symbol rate 0.000
    Step 8 Press ok on remote
    Wait and if you have proper cable the box should pick up 13 tps then it scans for the channels and should pick up around 140,but if you have chorus mmds(ariel on the roof) it wont work.If the channels do come in it will say 140 or whatever channels found, exit all the way back to the channels go to a pay channel ie sky premier and wait about 5 mins for it to come in ,that’s it.
    Manually scanning channels.
    Press menu, Installation, User installation, Enter pin,
    Then press ch edit (green button)
    Then press Add (red button)
    Use the v arrow on the remote change thefrequency to274 change the Symbol rate to 6875 press ok repeat this process for the following frequencies 282,290, 298,306,314,322,371,378,394,410,427,444. exit once press ok on all the frequencies then press manual scan this will then repeat the same process as after you pressed Step 8 on the power scan ,only try this if the power scan doesn’t work.Read through this try the powerscan first if that dosnt work do a manual scan.

    i'm not actually there looking at the box. must be eurovox. are codes different???

    Nothing to do with codes at the moment, different set up for both boxes,symbol rate for ch..us is 6875 n.l 6887 can you just email the info to your mate as its easier than talking down the dog and bone

    Guy said it only found 11 tps. did a short scan then said service unknown. i have a suspicous feeling hes mmds. i would email him but he does not have a pc! hes a bit old school does not know much about tech stuff. thanks for all your help.

    Do the same channel scan with start 258 mhz , stop 402 mhz and symbol rate 6.887.

    Sorry to intrude but am new to all this and was hoping you might be able to help me. My starview box was working till seven this morning and now it is coming up with updating data and only have rte2 and tv3. Is there anything i can do. thanks.
