Hi everybody, I can only say this: Upgrade your U10As to the supported version. Of course this is only if you want to risk whatever guarantee Sony grants you. My experience so far: DVD-Rs specified for 2x writing were not accepted by the U10A (in my case in an external firewire box). Upgrade to DRU-500a 1.0d didn't change a thing. But - surprise - with the new firmware 1.0g everything is just fine! What does that tell us about Sony'S OEM firmware? Ratman
I have no problems with my drive so far but then again I have not used 2x DVD-R discs yet. I have never updated any firmware before so any help to explain how to do this would be appreciated. Ta Much
