As I stated above you need true cable, if you have an MMDS feed, it wont. The Starview 2 called "The Box", will work on C***** true cable only with version 4.50 installed. True cable is a direct feed into the house. If there is an aerial/dish on the top of the house with cable running from it to the TV, it is MMDS and will not work on "The Box". There is another Starview box coming soon called the terrestrial box which will work with C***** MMDS areas.
well lads i bought the original starview box i am living in sligo in a ch****S area with an MMDS feed an i can not get it to work my sister has a true feed Ch****s but i still can not get it to work? Can anyone tell me wat to do do i have to manualy scan the frequencies?

cheers scouser, i got that info and put in the keys, when i went to a paid channel ther was no joy, when a manually scanned all the other freq's the all came back failed? do you have any more advice you could give me on how to get it up and runnin

donagh, just wondering did u get it working. i have been trying to get my dbox2 working the last few days in sligo with no joy. im on true cable and have downloaded irish cables.xml but a scan produces nothing, iv tried all cable providers.
