    Hello

I like to know under the preference tab on the dvd shrink, on the file I/O, what is the meaning of
this selection "CHECK RPC2 DEIVE REGION CODE WHEN OPENING A DVD"
Should I check it or uncheck it.
Sometimes when I burn the DVD, the above message came up.

    Thanks

Check it--I am not 100 % sure what it means, but I know it should be checked-probably has to do with not specifying a region--

    Hi Whitfield,

    Thanks your reply.
I have also read some member reply that it should
be uncheck. I don't remember exactly the article name but It seems like after couple of this kind of message that it will go to default mode.
I don't exactly what is this RPC2 drive region code
    means?

    Tony

The question is: "Do you want DVD Shrink to check the DVD for a region code?" If you check it, the region code will be removed from the copied DVD, therby allowing it to play on any player. This type of DVD is referred to as a "Region Free" DVD. Hope this answers your question.
