chipped ntl box gone off (samsung smt 2100c)

    my n*l/v*rg*n media box has gone off, except for the free channels, i have read thruogh a lot of forums but they are all about eurovox or starview.
    i am a complete novice and would be thankful for any advice on how to enter new codes via my remote control.
    the box is a samsung smt-2100 and i am in the warrington area
