can't believe I remembered the name... haven't seen this one since I was quite wee... Battle of the Planets
Noone mentioned Woody WoodPecker? I used to get up early in the mornings before school (elementry) and watch The Bozo Show. After that He-Man would come on and i always watched that. Does anyone remember the name of the cartton that had a lil bmw bettle as the main character? It was sorta like Speed Buggy, but it couldn't talk. It would show signs and actions on it's windshield and have things pop outta the top like Inspector Gaget did with things outta his hat. There is another cartton that i don't remember the name, but the 2 main characters were men. The white one was nick named Goose and the black man was named Doc i believe. This would come on around the time Silverhawks was on...loved that one too! I really do wish they would make a channel to play all those carttons! What about that one cartoon that had the trolls living up in the trees? They all had cars riding around. They all seemed "redneckish". 30 here and still love watching Toonami and Adult Swim cartoons. ok, i'm done...for now!
any one remember "Mario Brothers" back in '89 where Mario and the Princess had to find a way to take bakc "Mushroom land"?
Im loving this thread so many memories, but today I found an old picture of myself (like when I was 3 or 4) wearing a sweater my mom had made for me, on the sweater was this character from an old TV cartoon. I dont remember who he is or in which cartoon he was (might as well be in he-man thats how confused I am) the description: a little black ghost wearing something that looks alot like a wizards hat you only see his eyes and a black head i think he was wearing a trenchcoat im not 100% sure, and im getting a fantasy feeling but thats not sure either might as well be playing in the future Also on the pic he has a big O on his shirt but my mom might have put it on there for me, though i remember him with it. lots of confusing info but thats how my head is atm. anyone got a clue? thanks in advance
orkun Sounds like tghe character you are explaining is Orko from He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe. Does he have a pointy hat on and no feet or legs? That's who it sounds like it it.
Voltron Transformers GI Joe Mighty Orbots He-Man Spiderman and his amazing friends Dungeons and dragons Thundarr the barbarian
when I was a kid my favorite cartoons were Tom & Jerry (classic comedy!), Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers, and Tale Spin.
Hello people! I need help! I've been thinking about this cartoon for quite some time now and I can't remember it's name or what the episodes are about. If I remember it right, in the intro, there is a boy lying in his bed and falling to sleep. In his dream he walks up to a tree that has a tiny door on it. The boy shrinks until he becomes so small he can open the door and walk into the magical world. Please help me remember this old piece of nostalgia!
Tybalt It was [bold]Jamie & The Magic Torch [/bold] :c) http://www.80snostalgia.com/classictv/jamie/sounds/jamie.mp3 http://www.80snostalgia.com/classictv/jamie/sounds/jamieend.mp3 (As posted on this thread , page 2)
Holy crap, I forgot about the mario bros. if Im not mistaken, there was a live action mario and luigi that openned the show. man, those dudes creeped me out! there is still an episode that haunts me today. it was the one where there was a backwards spell put on luigi (i think) and he was doing everything backwards. there was a part when he was eating pasta backwards(what else!) and he was pulling it out of his mouth and onto his plate. it was disturbing. Man, Im getting the shivers just thinking about that episode. now Im not go to sleep tonight.
Just found this thread and thinks its pretty cool.. not read every single entry but has can anyone remember these classic cartoons.. Teddy Ruxpin Dreamstone Bravestarr Centurians Captain Planet Flash Gordon Defenders of the Earth!!!
I remember watching Bravestarr (futuristic western cartoon; sidekick was a horse named 30/30) and Defenders of the Earth (The Phantom and Mandrake the Magician were some of the members). I'm still a big fan of cartoons today at the age of 34. Favorites now are Tom and Jerry, old Warner Bros. and the Dragonball Z and GT series.
Wacky races for me, the Anthill mob ruled. I think the Boulder brothers were called Rock & Slag. Penelope Pitstop, Peter Perfect, can't remember any of the others. I remember watching The Banana Splits, top show!
I've got a few Top Cat on cine film from my grandad. Not sure how old it is, but they all have subtitiles! My personal fave was The Clangers by Oliver Postgate, Soup dragon, string soup, Iron chicken, ahhhh the memories come flooding back!
