I have winXP and I am using CloneDVD to 'attempt' to back up my movies....the program rips my dvd and it even burns it. The problem is that the disk doesnt work. It even says that it was a successful burn. The DVD writer doesnt even recognize the 'burned' dvd. The DVD is not copy protected and I am using a OPTORITE DD0201. Can anyone help?

I am having exactly the same problem with one of my systems only with DVD+R discs. DVD-R discs can be written. This system has a Emprex DVDRW IDE1004 drive.

On another system I have a NEC DVDRW ND-1300A and it works fine.

So, I am assuming CloneDVD doesn't support all drives correctly. If you find a solution, let me know.

You might want to check to see if you have the latest firmware for your drive. Updates sometimes help. Also use good quality media. Cheap bargain stuff will give you problems.
