After over 1300 backups......I now use AnyDVD more often than not. It's easy and fast. But by now way is any of your fast transcoders better than DVDRebuilder with CCE/ProCoder2. Just my 2 cents...... and when I don't have time for using DVD-RB I just save the project and batch it out for over night processing. When I wake up in the morning I have 2 or 3 movies ready for burning in finished folders. That's the way to do it! Very easy and best quality you can get!

    Ihoe,

"lego" blocking, pixelation... and rough transitions. For example, in The Passion of the Christ, the intro scene where he walks through the trees, the leaves don't fade in through the fog, they just pop up out of nowhere. Sony MIJ, 8X burn.

    Ian_05,

I prefer DVD-RB/CCE, but I don't mind the burn time. As far as compressing your volumes, I haven't seen an easier, and more quality method of doing it. My copys blow my friends' work away. I like it because I don't have the layer transition delays you find even on pre-recorded DL discs. But it takes 2-3 hours a pop, and I have a brand spankin new computer (2 weeks old in fact), so my get-up humps along.

This is, of course, just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt.

@Sandt38......if you are getting pixelations, and freezing from your copies it could mean a number of things. First off you say it only happens with [/bold] big projector screen[/bold] which could mean that your player is having issues with the disk recorded. Try burning at 4X since you are using good media. Also check the disk for finger prints..... sometimes a player will have issues with fingerprints even if it's an expensive player.... cheaper players, [bold]I've been told[/bold], seem to play everything fed to it. Go figure. Anyway... shrink should do an adequate job without problems that you are having. The movies you are refuring to are newer movies that Shrink might and has had problems with processing since it's no longer updated. Try using Voblanker before you use Shrink and you'll be surprised that your problems may go away.
