I am doing the wait and see approach also. I know i could always remove the latest version (if i updated) and re-install my old 7.0.8.2 but I am Nero update "gun shy" also. Ever since the major bugs started coming out with the updates, i haven't updated. We will see how this version does in the error logs. Nero has to come out with a good stable version soon, or it will get to where current DVD drives will not be recognized by good old stable 7.0.8.2, and then what are we going to do? 8.2 is working fine for me. I dont have the time to mess with an update, and find/fix/work around, all the new bugs that are sure to be in there. That is where a major company like Nero should have in-house beta testers. Seems like we the public are the beta testers for Nero.
can u believe it... I burned a audio cd and the first and second song were fine then the thrid song came and skip skip skip i was pissed im running out of cd's with nero.
@killa711 Was just getting ready to post my update. Yep skipping here too on a cd burned previously flawless w/ Nero 6. I think I need to go smack some sense into my friend I'm now doing the same cd but w/ the prev mp3 dll's copied from Nero 6. Use windows media player until we can find a fix. For vision I did 2 pal to ntsc conversions - all okay. Default settings used. Just need to get some avi's to try - maybe later today.
@binkie7 yup i have been using windows media player in the meantime i just dont like its 12 minute wait to burn a cd as apose to nero is only a 2:50 wait, big diffrence!.. i like the new windows media player 11 its awesome..
@killa711 Well the switching the mp3pro.dll's didn't work for me. I tried 2 different drives, different media and burn speeds. All a no go. Now of course my friends says - no problems - but then he adds he only listened to 3 track. Strangle time :0) You may want to the older mp3pro if you're game. Other memebers here & at other sites said it worked for them. Just not working for me. Txs for the bit on wmp 11 - I'm still using 10 - guess time to update!
@binkie7 Well i heard that switching the mp3pro.dll had nothing to do with burning audio cds because the mp3pro.dll is used for converting wav files and other types of formats to the mp3pro version which i guess is suposto be better then regular mp3 format... and yea i dont think you can find wmp11 on microsoft update so u might have to contact me if u want it..
Nero 7.2.3.2b So far no problems whatsoever, however I only install the following items. 1) Burning ROM 2) Recode 3) Vision 4) InCD 5) ShowTime Nero Scout is still an annoyance but is quite easy to remove so overall I am well satisfied One good thing in the new installer is that the option to select video and sound associations is now available in the popup box at the end of the install – this box was blank if you selectively installed on previous versions. It would be very nice in this forum if people would give details of any bugs they find rather than say “it is full of bugs” which is of no help to anybody. Happy burning Caroline
@killa711 From what I read it's in the decoded that the problem lies for some. Here's a link: http://www.cdrinfo.com/forum/tm.asp?m=120993&mpage=4&key= But you can't always believe everything you read on the internet Though it did seem to work some. I'll play a little more but may take a few days. The mp3's I'm trying are not downloads (ripped right from the CD) and the bitrate is 160 kb. Plus I've burned these same mp3's before with no problems - so I know it's with Nero. May look into the wmp 11 - I'll let you know So far this is the only problem I have had with this version. Did a few more dvd's w/ recode and xpress today.
binkie7 i have to pull ye leg...ha and a he,he bitrate i just did today with roxio 7...mp3 is at 320kb from a cd.. and i did a couple dvd copy's on the fly, meaning disk to disk with roxio..
Thanks alot Ireland :0) Heck I can't get any bitrate work w/ Nero 7 on mp3's. Good thing I don't rely on Nero for mp3 conversions...
