( Code Purple) I need HELP

On one of my other computers I had a problem with no sound, so I tried to do a system restore using the disks. After they both were done installing I got a message saying "Your system has detected a config. error (Code Purple)" If someone could help me on this I would be very thankful, and pay you. Thanks for your time.

 

i had that error not long ago, i bet your using a compaq or hp eh?
did you use the disks that came with the computer? if you didnt, yr gona have to buy XP
its something to do with motherboard tattooing...

Yeah I used the disks thatcame with the computer, thats where I went wrong. When The tech. replaced my mother board he never told me about the whole tattoo thing. So when I tried to do a system restore with the original disks my computer went bye bye (Code Purple)

 

well your gona have to buy XP on disc... :|
