is there a FFDShow equivalent for OSX? I was wondering if such a tool existed to allow a user to view .avi files for example in Quick Time...

    alternatively...

what i am trying to do is rip aspects of a dvd into a powerpoint presentation... does Office for MAc Powerpoint allow a user to play mp4 video files within a slide?? I know for PCs only .avi is playable, anyways, thanks in advance for your help...

I have a 45 mintue presentation tomorrow and would greatly appreciate any response!
