Compaq Deskpro 6333 Sound Problems

okay i have A Compaq Deskpro 6333. with integrated SoundMAX technology. i have a problem (obviously)

the sound in my computer works when i boot it up. but when i play a high end game (in MY OPINION and from what i can GET! Halo is high end in my opinion, but this computer cant handle it.)

.....No One Lives Forever 2 and FreeLancer on a high end sound part where it gets loud. the sound quits out!..nothing!. nothing for windows or any other programs!.

BUT when i restart it. the sound works again!

i know this is crazy but getting another sound card i cant do cause my dad is to f'ing cheap to buy another one.

(ive tried to look for drivers, but no luck.)

so what can i do!?
