Hi, I have a dvd drive and a burner in my computer. I am trying to back up disks of concert DVDs. As far as I know they should not have copyright protection as they are copies themselves. What is the best program to copy DVD direct to DVD-R? The software that came with my Dell (Sonic) only makes copies that work on the pc. Thanks so much for your help.
Does Sonic have a straight DISC COPY feature. That should be all you need if doing a copy of a copy. Also don't try to do a direct copy from one drive to the other. Copy to the HD first then burn back. Jerry
Try DVD Decrypter, downloadable from this site. It's free, and handles copyrighted or non- all the same.
Jerry i copy on the fly quite often most the time it works fine but sometimes i get read errors and ruins a blank dvd doing it . so its a gamble.good point.
