Computer doesnt shut down!

My comp hasnt been shutting down 1 outta 4 times. it just stays on the screen saying "shutting down" is it because of the software or hardware. if its software ill do a system recovery to its original factory condition. Thanks

 

i used spybot and norton thats it, it hasnt helped

 

i bet you have vista dont u?, if u dont i suggest runing a memtest
memtest86 is pretty good for that

Download adaware, it's free and works really nice.
You should always run 2 or 3 malware/spyware programs, because one may miss something that the other one might catch.
