its moody but i am getting better results every day and im sure it will be fixed in no time thanks for all the input
I had a computer that would shut down by itself for no reason. I suspected overheating and cleaned all the fans and heatsink. Even installed another case fan. Problem persisted; computer would shut down afer about 45-60 min use. One day I took off the side panel and just stared at the innards when it was likely to shut down by itself. Whalll....Laaaa! I saw the procesor fan slowing and speeding up very erratically all by itself, unrelated to any computer activity. Replaced the processor fan/heat sink and problem solved!
Sounds to me like it is the overheating problem. You can run SI Sandra diagnostics on it and it will tell you if the fan speed is too slow. Only way to solve is replace the processor fan. Someone said something about ANYDVD causing problems. I have never heard of this on any of the forums I belong to and I belong to a lot of them. Never heard ANYDVD causing any conflict with anything. I believe it would be a conflict between some other burning program. I know this is not your problem. Yours is overheating. Tom
