http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...&Category=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0 also i thnk i ned some thermal paste piz give me recommendation on which one to buy??
if cpu comes with heatsink as it is boxed than heatsink will have either a thermal pad on it or paste.
one more question since i'm about to break the bank can i use this baby slingbox http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16882169001 to watch and record shows while i'm on the road??
@evilh0ly IMHO and contrary to popular belief, I actually get better CPU temps with the pad that came with them, (Intel CPU's,) then I have by removing the pad and using Artic Silver 5 per their directions. Actually by 4-5 degrees. But if you have to remove the heatsink and lose the pad, then ArticSilver5 is the way to go.
thanks for all the helps. my desktop will be up and running as soon as i get those shipping from newegg.
Your welcome and let us know how your brother is doing after you catch him playing with your new PC!!!! <G>
damn i don't know what happen to newegg i'm waiting unusally long time this time for my shipping. it's been like 5days now and they told me 3days.
It's because they switched from FedEx to UPS. It has been a big difference since that change, for the worse.
also how come when i'm ripping a dvd to my hd the cpu max out i though this suppose to be dual core??? my spec are Window Xp Home AMD x2 3800 1Gb Kingston ValueRam Hitachi Sata 160Gb Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI RAIDMAX AURORA RX-580F ATX 580Watts MSI GeForce 6600GT 256MB
ozzy my laptop have that afinnity option but i don't know why my desktop doesn't have that option of using cpu0 or cpu1
Go to device manger by right clicking my computer and left clik properties. Open up device manager and go to your cpu. Make sure its listed as a dual cpu cause you might have gotten boned and its not a true dual core. Also if you added the dual core cpu as a upgrade then you need to reinstall windows for the dual core to be recognized. You can just pull out ya single core and slap in a dual core. It dont work that way. You need to reinstall windows. If this is what ya did. Two the bus speed is a combination of multiplier, clock speed, and memory bandwidth. If ya add all this up then you have your 1000 unless ya running dual channel ram then ya have 2000.:>
