Alright so my desktop has been having a problem lately were it turns on half way and then nothing happens. I push the button the button lights up as it would if i was starting it normally and then nothing happens. Keyboard wont light up and screen stays blank. Please help me! BTW i have realised this only happens when it is incorrectly shut off (from surge preotector) if that is important.
unplug the computer and pull the cmos batter for a few minutes. plug it back up and try again. just an fyi, but windows is kind of touchy. always shut the computer down properly or you risk having to reinstall windows.
