I currently bought a DVD RW drive (Song DRU-500AX). It came with myDVD by Sonic. I wanted to transfer my AVIs to a dvd. Simple idea, right? Well, I could only fit 2 30 minute avis onto a dvd! That doesn't make sense. I can fit at least 5 avis on a cd-r, but how come I can only fit 2 avis on a dvd? Can't dvds fit way more than cd-rs? I should be able to fit at least 2 hours worth on a dvd. Anyone else know solutions to this problem or have had this problem?

Because they're being re-encoded by the sounds of it.
Sonic myDVD is not the best software - btw.

Ok. Well, what software out there can do what I want to do? I'd like to at least get 2 hours of avis on a dvd.
