connecting pc to tv help

    ok i have purchased a vga to hdmi cable, hdmi extension, and 25ft of hdmi cable. just got all of today get home hook everything up and to my suprise tv is blank. did i do something wrong can someone help me please

    When I hook up pc to tv, I have to press F10 on my laptop to switch the monitor from pc to tv, if not F10 on your pc it is the button that looks like one tv screen inside another.

    its a desk top but ill give it a try.

    i have my laptop hooked up to my tv im getting the backround screen and the mouse cursor but no icons or anything and i have no mouse cursor on the laptop screen any suggestions

    Look at your display settings. The reason why you would have the "background" and no icons is because you have it set up to extend the main(laptop) display(you use your TV as a dual monitor). You need to mirror the TV or have it set as primary display.
