Connecting Sony VAIO Laptop to Receiver

    Hello, There is an A/V out on my laptop that I wish to connect to my receiver so I can watch my videos that I downloaded from the net on my TV. I can get video, but no audio at all through my receiver. I am using a 1/8" jack that splits into 3 RCA jacks. Any suggestions on how to get my VAIO to work on my receiver? Thanks!

    I figured out how to get sound. It was a receiver problem.
