Greetings all, fist time post..... I'm trying to convert an .avi to DVD. The .avi is 2.31:1 and following the guide using TMPGenc (v2.5) the best I can get is a DVD output of 16:9 which makes everyone look a bit too tall... Any ideas would be welcomed!
I believe that WinAvi will et you do this with no problem it does cost 29.99 though this is what I use and have never had a prob I convert all my files with this it will convert just about anything there are also settings that will allow you to chose what format NTSC or PAL I usually convert my AVI and Mpegs str8 to DVD format and then use DVDLab to add chapters and scene selections
Thanks for that Navig8r. I think I've just cracked it though. Under "other settings" on the advanced tab there's an option "video arrange method" which was set to "full screen" but needs to be set to "Full screen (keep aspect ratio)"
