Convert a Divx file???

How do I convert a divx & mpeg-4 file to an avi or mpeg because the program I'm using(Cyberlink PowerProducer) won't recognize them in their current form?

Also, you could just download this free media player which will play it for you...

Thanks Ripper but I think my problem is a lil different. I'm trying 2 burn these files to dvd & I know I can use nero but I like the video editing on this other program better but it doesnt recognize mpeg-4's & divx files so that's why I am trying to convert the files. I know on one of the older versions of nero I used to have I could export a file & that would work but I dont see that on the newer version. :-(
