hey guys, if you all got a converting AVI/Divx/Xvid/Rmvb/RM problem pleaes to install a codec pack "K-Lite Codec Pack 2.54 Full" here http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm#kazza
And the important setting for TMPGEnc if you always got a file unsupport ...... blad blad ....... ,, Option / Environmental setting / VFAPI plug-in / DirectShow Multimedia File Reader (just right click on it then set this higher priority to 8 - 10)
    ** The best version TMPGEncPlus-2.54.37.135 **

Was wondering what was the most asked question about
converting AVI, Xvid, DivX to DVD any one know?
also how many Codec's are necessary for the job?
can you have too many? how can you tell if you do?
having to many Codec's cause some of our converting problems?
is there a place to tell you what Codec for whichever program or job?
meaning before you install to many. before GSpot and AVICodec utilities.

searching for the most asked question for that category may save some time and space.
a lot of us have the same problems but enter the wrong search word, guility :)

    hello all,

i have a question, whats the quickest way to put a whole season of US drama 'X' onto dvd - its currently in .avi format and there's about 13 episodes. Also, bearing in mind, im going to have to convert it into PAL format, as my dvd player isnt region free.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

DivX Converter Provides easy, one-step encoding of virtually any file to high-quality DivX video if this help anyone. DivX6 Think it is one maybe two mouse clicks. Most programs can handle the DivX codec.

What I have been doing is going to the guide section here at AfterDawn http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/searching
searching guides for information for job. There is a lot of freeware we can use as well as a link takes you right to the download page with more information about the program. The guides are excellent.

Hi all Mofo here and i am havin an issue converting a file. I used AVI Codec as suggested and got these results:

    File : 230 MB (230 MB), duration: 0:30:01, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 39 %

    Video : 207 MB, 967 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 512*384 (4:3), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported

    Audio : 23 MB, 107 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, Supported

Now i have looked into Xvid, and Divx conversion forums, and found nothing. I am getting no audio when i use Tmpgenc plus. I tried the CBR and VBR modes, but still nothing. The video is fine. if there is a link that you can send me to explaining how to correct the issue i would really appreciate it.

    Thanks afterdawners.

ok, well, thanks for the help...

I've downloaded the DivX Bundle (which includes the DivX Converter suggested) so i'll wait and see what happens when i get round to using it.

The program i usually use is TMPGEnc but its slow so im trying to look faster alternatives, but like i said i'll give that a go....

You want fast? Use the free version of VSO Divx to DVD, it doesn't get any faster than that.

VSO Divx to DVD is kinda like "if this can't convert this xvid file to dvd compliant mpeg2-nothing can".
