The divided by 0 error means that your source is corrupted and/or damaged... if it is a CD or DVD you can try cleaning it...
I use window cleaner and s soft cloth going from inside hole out to the edge. Someone told me never just go round and round the disc. I'm no expert just works fro me... I even do the Brasso clean... don't have the directions handy... It works as well. If the dvd or cd still does not work toss it, or replace it. I have found most of the time if purchas or rent DVD they don't mind replacing it. There are alway exceptions. Just don't give up... Never learn that way.

    hi guys.

i don't know much about the programs u are using. but my idea is to use another converter program like TMPGEnc or Mainconcept. These 2 programs are the best and more powerful with divx format

I've been using ConvertXtoDVD, works pretty well for most xvid/divx to dvd conversions.

Convert X to DVD is a great product-The conversion takes a little time but is always right-I like the fact that it burns the disk if ya want when the conversion is done-great!-To remove all the "blockage"-I use 1Click DVD Copy Pro and to remove area protection; DVD 14 runs in the background-I am very happy with this set up-My movies play good everywhere-all the time-

    Hello everyone,
it's been a while since I been here trying to learn something, thanks to afterdawn, I learn how to copy my original dvd's thanks to people like.
While back I downloaded a program called AVI Convert Divx to DVD and it used to be a freeware. Can anyone, if possible let me know where I could get the freeware? I remember downloading it from here but I havent had any luck finding it.
    thanks for the help.

Paul 1139-If you converted then burned it 'before playing it on your dvd or dvr player you need to remove any copy protection that is on the file or the player itself-The choice is yours there but when that happens I burn the file again using 1Click DVD COPY-download the free program DVD14-it runs in the background removing area protection if needed; but many times 1Click is all thats needed to remove copy protection-Free trial-let me know if it works-I use those 2 programs and have 0 problems-

Hello everybody. I've used nero vision express v3 and have had very few problems and coasters. As for super dvd creator, I found it rather complicating.I recommend you try NVE v3. Laters

Hello folks, yet another newbie to (dis?)grace these boards hoping for some good advice, but first hello hello.

I'm a little new to encoding and converting and such, but I've tried a few programs now, I've successfully used the arc showbiz program that came on my PC but I hated it. I'm attempting to encode an xvid avi with mp3 audio to mpeg2 then author and burn it to dvd. Since the showbiz program, I've tried Nero 7 Ultra's Nero vision, but have had similar problems as others here with it freezing after the creating menus and transcoding streams finished. I've followed several guides and read lots of posts here without being able to correct the problem. Next I tried avi2dvd and ran into some buggery there, the audio encoded just fine, but the video finished only seconds after it started and wasn't in the output directory at all. At this point I assume there's a problem with the file, though it plays on media player fine, and with great quality. As another guide here suggested, I downloaded divfix and checked the file, which reported 0 errors. I also ran Gspot on it, which froze and reported 86 missing bytes in the legacy area.

It's been a few weeks since I messed with it (patience isn't one of my grander virtues) but I refuse to give up on encoding all together, so I've tried TMPGEnc Plus, and that program displayed that it couldn't be opened or was unsupported when I tried to load the file. I was hoping someone could gived me a suggestion of another program that can repair avi files, I'm at my wits end with this one, but I'd love to finally get it on disc. Thanks in advance for any responses, this community seems like it's chock full of friendly helpful folks.
