time is not about softwares usually, but about your computer and how fast it is.

for programs u can choose between mainconcept or TMPGenc. both are good

WinAVI to Video Converter is a good application to use for this process. You really might wanna give that a shot...

Hello, can anyone tell me what is the fastest avi to dvd out there. I am using cucusoft and if I want a vcd it takes about an hour or so, but when I want a dvd it's taking nearly 24 hours which is pretty crazy. Most of the ones they have to try only allow half the movie etc. So I'm not sure what is really going to work. Thanks

Hello all. You might wanna try nero vision express. I would recommend version 3. I get great quality dvds in about 2 hours. What are your pc specs. Hope this helps. Laters

I use ConvertXtoDVD-I've tried a lot of different conversion programs and this is by far the easiest and simplest one.

Put in another vote for ConvertXtoDVD - it's dead simple and I've been getting excellent results with it.

Hey. I have some episodes of a tv program, i want to burn them to disk to watch them on my tv.

Now, i just had to download a codec so it would play in realplayer, its Xvid. Its an AVI file (you probably already know that lol), i was just wondering if NeroVision would be able to burn it to dvd in dvd format, and also which programs (free or not free i dont mind) you think would be best for the job.

The reason i say NeroVision is because i know you can make a title menu on that, and i need to make a title menu with a list of all the episodes, kinda like you get when u buy a film, u get the "root menu".
So i think i need one that i can do that on, so really, i just want to know if nerovision can do the job.

P.S MODS should i make a new thread about that root menu thing, cause i also want a "play all" option...im not sure if i can do that in nerovision or not.

Nero Vision Express will do that just fine. It can create, as you say, a "root menu" and I'm pretty sure of a 'play all' feature, too.

Also, if you want to fit more episodes on, Nero will offer you the option to compress the AVIs, slightly, to fit more on.

    :)
