    Hi

    Can someone please help with a avi problem I have with my mp4 player which I purchased from ebay and can be viewed here

    I cant seem to convert the files correctly so that they play on the mp4 player. On the player there was a sample avi that works correctly. You can see an image of the movie summary.

    I also put the sample movie that was on the player thru VideoInspector and here are the results of that

    I have tried using WinAVI Video Converter to try converting my avi files but no luck. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or should I be trying other software. Can anyone please help

    Have you tried XviD, and mp3 audio - the example is mp1 audio, which I haven't seen used before.

    Thanks for your replies. I tried downloading both the Xvid and Wondershare MP4 Video Converter but for some reason cant get the files to play on the mp4 player. I know it can play them as the sample works fine. Any ideas how I can get the same format as the sample avi?

    Can you take the sample and and use the converters to try and figure out what part is causing the problems;frame size, audio, etc.
    Does the device spell out what formats can be used?

    VideoCount : 1
    AudioCount : 1
    ===== Video Info =====
    Video 0# Stream
    VideoCodec : XVID
    VideoWidth : 320 pixels
    VideoHeight : 240 pixels
    VideoFrameRate : 20fps
    VideoFrameCount : 1085

    @attar
    Hi, just a quick question,
    Does Any Video Converter support Divx encoding or just Xvid? I have Divx installed, but there is no option in the settings, just Xvid, Mpeg...

    I didnt have much luck with 'Any Video Converter' but SuperĀ© seemed a lot better. It started to work and then stopped so I think I am getting close. Here is a link to movie that came with it. Maybe I am doing something wrong here.

    I can play it using VLC (but not WMP) and I converted a file using the same settings and it works - but I don't have portable device to test it.

    Well you wounldnt believe it but the person who I bought the mp4 player from finally sent me an english version of the software.
    And you couldnt believe it the software worked. All you need to do is find the file hit convert botton and thats it all done. Maybe some custom software ? But its called AVIConverter 3.0.
    So now I am finally sorted. Thank you for all your help on this topic and its a worth while player now.
    Thanks
    Frogger

    Frogger,

    Can you please tell me who you asked for the English version of AVIConverter, as the only one I can find is the Chinese version, as my Chinese is about as good as my Lithuanian, I am struggling. IF you could put a version up online to download, that would be even better.

    Thanks in advance,
    Alik99
