Does anyone know of a program that will let me convert wav songs to mp3 songs for storage on my hd? I have around 1500 songs I need to convert, so as to save space on my HD. I would like to convert in a batch if I can do this easy. Also I would like to convert with name of title intact, if that's possible.

I should also add: my 1500 songs are already on my HD, I just need to convert them to mp3.

Use EAC (Exact Audio Copy). Aswell as ripping from CD to MP3 it also has a convert facility where you can convert WAV files into VBR MP3's.

weazel200, can you give more detail directions for EAC? I opened EAC, I don't know what I'm looking for. It looks like everything is set up for cd drive.
    Thanks

Click on either "Tools" or "Action" and there should be an option that says "Compress WAV's". Once you select it a screen will come up where you have to find the WAV file you want compressed. Double click and it should work.
