Convert .wmv to mpeg

    I was just wondering what should I do to convert my .wmv file into a .mpeg file so that I can make a vcd out of it, any suggestions? and thanks to whosoever that answers the question

    Have you tried TMPGEnc?

    I tried TMPGEnc but it says that its an unsupported format, I have read that it can be done using TMPGEnc, but somehow its not working for this file I am having, Any suggestions?

    Try the following!

    1. open the file in virtualdub
    2. click video - direct stream copy
    3. click audio - full processing mode
    4. click audio - compression select no sompression pcm and click ok.
    5. click file - save avi.

    Try the avi u save with TMPGEnc!
