I have several movies which I have got on my pc which are in the .3gp format. I would like 2 know if these can be converted to another type of video file and the quality of the video increased as well. Any help or links is apareciated.
The quality isn't going to get any better, in fact with mpg at least it will get worse. For avi it should at least be possible to re-use the h263 video. No idea about storing AMR audio in an avi though. ffmpeg, mencoder, mp4box, mp4creator, etc. should be able to extract the video to an avi, the audio you would I think need to re-encode. For mpg anything that can can convert via dshow should work directly if you have the correct dshow filters installed.
